Marcie was diagnosed with a tumour in her spine back in Feb 2004. Since then she has undergone all the treatments above which in turn have left her with Leukaemia (from the Eptopiside). The bone marrow transplant that she had semi-worked, with half her blood now fit and healthy, with the other still producing blast cells (leukaemia). She is currently undergoing regular steroid treatment to reduce the symptoms of the leukaemia (severe aches and pains) but which also comes with its own varied side effects.
